Local Hospital Updates Heart Equipment

September 6, 2006 - Jasper County Hospital recently installed a new software system that will improve the quality of care for heart patients. The Epiphany Cardio Server ECG Management System was placed into service in early summer of 2006.

According to the Hospital's Cardiopulmonary Services Director, Glenda Mattocks, RCP, CRT, "The new system will allow local physicians, as well as cardiologists associated with outside clinics to interpret tests performed at the Hospital." The internet based system is secure and allows the physicians to remotely view and provide very prompt results to assist in the care of the patient.

The Management System will allow the Hospital to add tests such as Holter Monitors, Pulmonary Function Tests and Cardiac Stress Testing in the future.
